The API Model 1608 16 channel console takes the design of the vintage API 1604 console and reworks it to provide the versatility and features needed in the modern studio.
The API 1608 features APIs incredible 212 mic pres and features a gain knob, Mic/Line selector,48V phantom power, Pad (-20 dB mic/-6 dB line) and polarity reverse, with clipping indicated by a glowing mic/line selector switch.
Equalization is provided by 12 550A semi-parametric EQs and 4 560 graphic equalizers,each of which are automatically patched into the channel where it resides, however, these can be re-routed via the back panel, providing a wealth of cascading and routing options.
