API 2500 Stereo Bus Compressor
The API 2500 stereo bus compressor is a highly versatile unit that allows you to sculpt and manipulate the tone and punch of your stereo mix.
The API 2500 manages to pack its incredible circuitry inside a single U rack space, offering compact, convenient compression that will slot nicely into your current system. Within this unit rests ATIs patented thrust circuitry, providing a chest-hitting, punchy bottom end. The API 2500 is designed for stereo compression, but can also be used as two separate units via a single compression setting.
The option of either old or new compression is included with this unit, with the old style using the feedback type of compression found in the API 525,1176 and Fairchild,and the new style uses a feed forward type, commonly used in other popular compressors.
An auto-makeup gain button is included,allowing you to vary the threshold or ratio while automatically maintaining a constant output level,essential for accurate adjustment. The highest in audio fidelity is ensured with an all-discrete, fully balanced design,and two front panel VU meters show input, output,and gain reduction levels.
