The API 560 graphic EQ is a unique device designed to help with the needs that no other EQ can satisfy. It provides the unique API sound, precision easy set filtering,and high headroom in a very small and convenient package.
The API 560s accurate zero detents make the unit easy to set and reset,and the curve shaping potential of the 560 is unmatched. It incorporates APIs exclusive circuitry and proprietary components such as the legendary 2520 op-amp, the 560 artfully blends the best of the past and the present to create an incredible graphic EQ.
The large number of available EQ bands make the 560 an ideal companion to a parametric EQ, or for signal sweetening and room tuning. The 560 makes use of APIs unique Proportional Q design introduced by API in the 60s, intuitively widening the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrowing it at higher settings. Boost and cut characteristics are identical,allowing for previous actions to be undone.
The incredible headroom of the unit is made possible with APIs proprietary 2520 op-amp,and offers predictable and wonderful analog performance under duress.
