TC Electronic RH450 Bass Amp

The new range of bass amplifier from TC has landed with lots of interest of bass players of all genres of music. The bass amps are extremely lightweight and portable yet have amazingly high power output and have lots of control to give just the right tone for all types of music. Three types of cabinet are available to complement the amps, a 2 x 10 with horn, a 2 x 12 with horn and 4 x 10 with horn. On the 2 x 10 and 2 x 12 bass cabinets the horn is mounted in dual concentric manner in the top bass driver i.e. the horn is mounted inside the cone of one of the bass driver. This allows the higher frequencies better dispersion along with the low frequencies and thus delivers a more rounded sound.

THe cabinets themselves are made from 18mm plywood with rounded edges which is covered in TC's anti-skid dual component surface which makes the cabs "stick" together when stacked.

TC Electronic have designed both the 2x10 and 2x12 to be used together. This helps bass players overcome the problem of getting both definable pitch AND good bottom-end from the bass stack. Normally if you put your cab higher up the you get the pitch but not the bottom end and if you put the cab on the floor you get the bottom-end but not the pitch. The two-cab design allows the placment of the 2x12 on the floor to enhance the bottom-end whilst placing the 2x10 on top to give you the pitch recognition.

The Bass Amp heads feature class-D digital amplifiers which have been developed to a level of sophistication providing extremely realistic  tube emulation and frequency aware compression to deliver that punchy clear bass-end so many bass players crave.
