The guitar really is a great instrument, probably one of the first that everyone picks up. Once you've learnt a few chords and scales you can take a journey into the wonderful world of song writing.

For a while, in the world of James Blunts, David Grays and the like, the guitar seemed like a tired old man rehashing the sound of yesteryear over and over again until every ounce of originality and interest was squeezed out. Throughout the years there have always been guitarists that have pushed the boundaries of what it means to play guitar, such as Robert Fripp (King Crimson), Frank Zappa, Omar Rodriguez Lopez (At The Drive-in, The Mars Volta) and Jimmy Hendrix, just to name a few, that haven't quite reached the commercial highs of the aforementioned Blunts, but have always been revered as guitarists.

One of the main things that set them apart, other than there extraordinary technical skill, is their use of effects pedals. To quote Omar regarding his incredible use of FX pedals, " I began to see effects as allies in my war against the guitar". He creates his unique tonal vocabulary through the use of a variety of FX units, all offering something new and interesting to lay over his band's already textural sound.

And that is exactly what FX pedals offer you, the possibility to make your guitar sound however you like, with the boundaries only limited by your imagination.

Here at Millennium we have a wide range on offer, from the vintage Moog pedals, to the incredible TC Electronics range , with all the unique and wonderful oddities in between that will allow you to win your own personal war against the guitar.

If you have any questions, or fancy trying a few out to see which one is worthy to nestle on your pedal board, then pop in store and one of our experienced guitar tech's will take you to our dedicated testing room where you can really let rip.

Alternatively, give Millennium a call on 08455557070 and we can guide you through the plethora of pedals on offer.
