The Yamaha AES1500 and AES1500B guitars are a single-cutaway, semi-hollow archtop design that have features way beyond their classic appearance. The tone and exceptional feel of these instruments are simply world-class while their stunning yet classic appearance make them extremely desireable!
The AES series uses the highest quality cuts of maple (for the back and sides) and sycamore (for the top) and Hi Power DiMarzio pickups (which cab be coil-tapped) - which combine to give the guitars a wide range of tones from Jazz thru Rockabilly to out and out rock!
A choice of fantastic finishes are available but black is definitely the coolest of them all! The pickups are DiMarzio Q-100 which can be split via a versatile switching system can produce humbucking warmth all the way to P-90 crunch. For true rockability sounds, the AES1500B is fitted with a classic Bigsby B-6 tremolo.
Sound Character The Two DiMarzio Q-100s pickups on the AES1500B produce a sound that lies between a single coil and a humbucker. Push push tone controllers split the pickup's coils allowing this guitar to cover a wide selection of sounds from Jazz to Blues to Rockabilly.
