Yamaha Motif XF6 | 10th Anniversary Box
The Yamaha Motif XF6 is the 61 Key Model of Yamahas flagship Motif XF series. It builds upon the award winning Motif XS series doubling the power of pretty much every feature, and providing a myriad of new ones, including expanded waveform libraries, sampling capabilities and improved sequencer features.
The aforementioned waveform libraries have expanded to a whopping 741MB of Wave-ROM, providing nearly 4000 waveforms as standard, and Yamahas Expanded Articulation System (XA System) brings these sound sets to life, imparting natural nuances into your programmed performances.
These waveforms can be complimented by any other sound of your creation by utilizing the extensive sampling and editing options contained within the Motif XF6,enough to put the Akais and Emus of this world to shame. 128MB of volatile memory comes as standard, but this can be expanded up to a whopping 2GB of non-volatile flash memory with the addition of 2 x 1GB FL1024M expansion cards.
Yamaha are providing all registered Yamaha Motif XF users with access to a free download file containing a mass of Samples to help build their own expandable sample library for the non-volatile Flash Memory of their Motif XF. This package includes sounds from 3rd party sound designers as well, offering a smorgasbord of musical flavours to throw into the pot.
The most important part of a workstation synthesiser is often considered to be the interface, and in this area, the Motif XF6 doesnt disappoint. The X6 comes with a Pitch Bend wheel,a Modulation wheel,a Ribbon Controller,8 Assignable Control Sliders,8 assignable Knobs,2 Assignable Function buttons and a Data dial, with a 320 x 240 dot,5.7 inch graphic color backlit LCD display to allow you to easily oversee the proceedings.
