The Yamaha Motif XF8 is the 88 Key Model of Yamahas flagship Motif XF series. The Balanced Hammer Effect keyboard of more than 7 octaves provides you with more than enough keys for 99% of compositions and provides you with a playing interface experienced piano players are used to. The Motif XF series builds upon the award winning Motif XS series, providing double the power of pretty much every feature,and providing a plethora of new ones, including expanded waveform libraries,sampling capabilities and improved sequencer features.

The waveform libraries contained within the Yamaha Motif XF8 build upon those of the XS series,expanding to a whopping 741MB of Wave-ROM, providing nearly 4000 incredible instruments and synthesiser sounds as standard,all extremely editable to fit perfectly within your composition. Yamahas XA System (Expanded Articulation System) really brings these sound sets to life, imparting natural nuances into your programmed performances.

The extensive sampling and editing options contained within the Motif XF8 allows you to combine the included waveforms with any sound of your choosing, with enough creative scope to even keep the Akai twiddlers busy. The XF8 ships with 128MB of volatile memory as standard, but this can be expanded up to a whopping 2GB of non-volatile flash memory with the addition of 2 x 1GB FL1024M expansion cards,FL512M 512MB cards can also be used by those not requiring the full 2GB

All registered Yamaha Motif XF users, can access a free download file containing a mass of Samples to help start their own expandable sample library for the non-volatile Flash Memory of their Motif XF. This package includes sounds from 3rd party sound designers as well, offering a range of musical flavours to throw into the pot.
